Course Objectives Teaching the historical development, main notions and social role of journalism theoretically and practically. Also teaching students how to find and write news in their surrounding area, university campus.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The students who succeeded in this course; will be able to learn historical development of news and journalism,
  • Will be able to learn the basics of news and news making process,
  • Will be able to understand facts of news,
  • Will be able to understand social role of journalism,
  • Will be able to have information about the basics of journalism,
  • Will be able to have news ethics and responsibility,
  • Will be able to have information about new media resources in journalism.
  • Will be able to understand newspaper and social media combination practically.
Course Description In this course, basics and ethical notions of journalism, news making and writing process will be taught to the students.
